The University of Missouri Outreach and Extension Center will start a six-week course for landowners, beginning Feb. 6.
The master tree farmer course will be held at the university extension centers in Cape Girardeau, Butler and Wayne counties. The course , which will be limited to 30 people, will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each week.
The program will teach forest stewardship, enhancing wildlife habitats, timber marketing and estate planning.
The program costs $40. Registration deadline is Jan. 26. For information, contact Gerald Bryan at the extension office at 243-3581.
