JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Seven account owners have retrieved more than $1 million in unclaimed property from the state treasurer's office since November.

The Jefferson City News-Tribune reported Treasurer Clint Zweifel has $810 million in unclaimed property belonging to 4.7 million account owners. That includes 71 accounts with more than $100,000.

Zweifel announced a program in December that allows Missouri residents to donate their unclaimed property to one of 20 charitable organizations.
