Randy Travis will make his third appearance at the Show Me Center on Oct. 11 as part of Family Weekend at Southeast Missouri State University.
Travis will perform hits from his most recent album, "High Lonesome," including "Better Class of Losers" and "I'd Surrender All." Travis' classic hits include "Forever & Ever, Amen," "On the Other Hand," "He Walked on Water" and "Deeper Than the Holler."
Opening the concert is Steve Wariner, whose new album is "I Am Ready." Hits from that album include "Leave Him Out of This" and "The Tips of My Fingers."
Travis first appeared at the Show Me Center with Tammy Wynette in November 1988. In February 1990, he appeared with Shenandoah and Shelby Lynne. Both shows were sold out.
Travis has won many awards, including top male vocalist several times by the Country Music Association, male artist of the year by Music City News, and favorite male vocalist, favorite album and favorite country single at the American Music Awards in 1989 and 1990.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. performance are $17.50 and go on sale Monday at the Show Me Center box office, the Southeast Missouri State University Center information desk, Schnucks, and Disc Jockey Records in Cape Girardeau, Carbondale and Paducah.
