Bus driver and tour guide Irving Kellman, top, speaks to a class of freshmen at Central High School in Cape Girardeau about World War II German and Italian prisoners of war detained in the Midwest Monday afternoon. The BUS-eum, of TRACES in St. Paul, Minn., is a traveling exhibit of WWII POWs held in the Midwest. More than 35 community members joined 700 Central High students to see the mobile museum, which is on a 10-month, 26-state tour. Weingarten, Mo., west of Ste. Genevieve, served as a base for 5,000 Italian POWs during the war.
