Five noon-time presentations on various countries and topics will be featured in the Travel Abroad At Home" series at Southeast Missouri State University this fall.

The programs will be presented from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Crisp Hall Auditorium. Free pizza and soft drinks will be served. The lectures are free and open to the public.

The first program, titled "Austria: Mountains, Music and Much More," will be presented Sept. 20 by Bettina Seidel, a master's degree candidate at the University of Vienna and a Cape Girardeau resident.

-- Oct. 4, "China Today" by Patricia Volp, Southeast's assistant vice president for student development.

-- Oct. 18, "Yucatan, Before and After the Conquest" by Dan Cotner, a Cape Girardeau dentist who has traveled extensively.

-- Nov. 1, "A Walk Through Britain" by Lea Hecht, Southeast instructor of English and a writing associate in the university's writing center.

-- Nov. 15, "Student Colloquium" by Southeast students of French, German and Spanish, who have studied abroad.
