Receiving the award are Dave Blanchard, right, plant manager, and Dwayne Sankey. The plant established a goal to become the first division to win a Gold award.
Dr. Zenon Duda recently attended the 51st annual scientific seminar of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in San Diego.
Seminar topics highlighted advances in reconstructive surgery for bunions, ankle injuries and flat feet.
Duda, a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, has been in practice in Cape Girardeau for 12 years.

Mary Ann Farmer of Magna-Tel Inc. was recently named the top Speakers Bureau ambassador for the West North Central Region.
Speakers Bureau awards are given to industry sales persons who volunteer their time to lecture business groups, college professors and students about the effectiveness of imprinted promotional products and services.
The awards are presented by Specialty Advertising, an Irving, Texas-based trade association representing the promotional-products and services industry.
Farmer is one of 300 volunteer ambassadors nationwide. Farmer has earned the CAS Certified Advertising Specialist professional designation.

Thomas M. Meyer of Thomas L. Meyer Realty Co. recently attended the National Association of Realtors (NAR) quarterly meeting in New Orleans. More than 3,000 realtors attended the seven-day meeting.
Meyer represented Missouri as its state vice president for 1993. He attended forums on professional standards, multilisting procedures and real-estate education for the 1990s.
Meyer is also a member of the International Real Estate Section of NAR and is scheduled to attend other NAR meetings this year in Washington, Chicago, and Miami.
As vice president of the Missouri Association of Realtors, Meyer represented more than 18,000 licensed realtors at the national meeting.
Meyer has been a licensed broker with the family firm since 1970. He has experience in all phases of real estate. He is also a certified instructor for new licensing and for continued education requirements.

Two Cape Girardeau County residents have been honored by Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Southeast Missouri, headquartered at Kennett, for outstanding service.
Margaret Atwood was recognized as 1992 Private Duty Employee of the Year for the northern portion of VNA's service area.
Ann Hudson was recognized as the 1992 VNA Employee of the Year.
VNA, which employs more than 500 people, provides a variety of services for more than 1,700 elderly and disabled persons in 13 counties of Southeast Missouri.
