William R. Schott, a partner in the firm of Schott & Van de Ven, Certified Public Accountants, recently attended a program offered by the Virginia Society of CPAs.
The course, Financial Statement Disclosures, A Definitive Guide, was prepared by the continuing professional educational division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to further the knowledge of CPAs in the changing field of financial statement disclosures.
Continued professional educational courses, offered on subjects like accounting and auditing, tax and advisory services, are designed to promote competence, increase CPA skills and insure a continued high level of service.
Schott & Van de Ven was founded in 1959 and employs 22 people.
