JACKSON -- Erica Dirnberger is a national winner of the Ertl Toy Co. coloring contest in the first and second-grade division.

Dirnberger, daughter of Mike and Carol Dirnberger of Oran, won a $1,000 U.S. Savings Bond.

Dirnberger was one of five division winners in regional competition, sponsored by Strack Equipment Inc., 2990 Old Orchard Road in Jackson. The national contest was sponsored by Ertl Toy Co., headquartered at Dyersville, Iowa.

Dr. Jeffrey D. Patton of Cape Girardeau recently attended a dental continuing education seminar on Adhesion Dentistry.

Dr. Ray Bertolotti of San Leandaro, Calif., was featured speaker at the seminar, held at St. Louis.

Bertolotti discussed bleaching of teeth, cosmetic bonding, and new techniques to reduce post operative sensitivity in newly placed fillings and crowns.

Dr. Zenon Duda recently attended the Midwest Podiatry Conference, held in Chicago.

Lecture topics covered current concepts in foot surgery, pain management, cryo-surgery (the use of freezing agents) for warts, and others.

Exhibits displayed new materials used in the management of foot disorders.

Duda has been in practice in Cape Girardeau 12 years. His office is located at 35 Doctors Park.

Dr. William L. Killian of Orthopaedic Associates, 48 Doctors Park, Cape Girardeau, recently completed the "Pedorthic Management of the Foot" course.

Killian underwent 50 hours of intensive study and working techniques at Ball State University, Muncie, Ind.
