JACKSON - The Shawnee District Boy Scouts are hosting a dinner train ride Monday on the St. Louis Iron Mountain and Southern Railway, catered by the Pasta House Company.
The train is scheduled to depart from Jackson at 6:30 p.m., with dinner served shortly afterward. The ride should last about two hours.
"It's a coat and tie kind of thing," said Tony Smee, coordinator of the event.
The train will make a brief stop in Gordonville, where Boy Scout Troop 311 will have set up camp.
"We want our patrons to see what a Boy Scout camp is like," said Smee.
Tickets to the train ride will be $35 per person or $50 per couple. The number of seats are limited, so people are encouraged to make reservations promptly by calling Tony Smee, at 335-3346.
Proceeds from the event will go to subsidize activities of the Shawnee District Boy Scouts.
