TRAIL OF TEARS PLAN IS AVAILABLE AT AREA LIBRARIES

The National Park Service has provided Cape Girardeau Public Library with a review copy of the Draft Comprehensive Management and Use Plan with Environment Assessment for the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail.

The plan includes a special draft map supplement containing detailed trail routings superimposed on county road maps.

The plan is also available at the Riverside Regional Library in Jackson.

The deadline for the public review period is Nov. 4. Anyone wishing to submit written comments should send them to: Chief, Branch of Long Distance Trails, Trail of Tears NHT Project, P.O. Box 728, Santa Fe, N.M. 87504-0728, before Nov. 4.
