If you're looking for something special to do with dad on Father's Day, you may want to consider a historic tour of Trial of Tears State Park, just north of Cape Girardeau.
This historic tour will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 20. But the tour is not limited to dads.
Historian Marie Exler will provide a guided tour of the park, relating about the families who once lived there, and the Indians who trekked through on their historic Trail of Tears.
The tour will last about 30 minutes. There are no admission charges or pre-registration.
Interested persons should meet at the Trail of Tears Park Visitors Center.
