Traffic down to one lane for Route AB work

Construction on Highway 25, Highway 77 and Route AB in Cape Girardeau and Scott counties will begin Wednesday. Workers will lay a crossroad pipe under Highway 77 just south of the Highway 25 intersection in Blomeyer. Traffic will be reduced to one lane when construction starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday. Roundabout construction on Highway 25 will start Friday and continue through Oct. 15, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily. Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction a half-mile east of County Road 245 to the bridge over the Diversion Channel.
