ALTENBERG -- A 78-year-old man was killed Sunday when the tractor he was on slid down a hill and overturned on him.
Perry County Coroner Herbert Miller said Waldemar Koeberl of Altenberg may have been loading wood into a trailer secured to the back of the tractor just prior to the accident around 1 p.m.
Miller said investigators have little to go on except that there was a wood pile on top of a hill just over the spot where Koeberl's body was found. Police found Koeberl pinned under his tractor, on his farm, with the trailer farther up the hill.
