Several area residents from Travelers Protective Association of America, Post M of Cape Girardeau, attended the 101st annual national convention June 16-20 in Louisville, Ky.
Delegates attending from the post were Robert and Adell Hartle, Perry and Marjorie Grindstaff, Clyde Wallis and son, David, and his family.
The convention included election of officers, ladies luncheon and president's dinner dance, dinner and sight-seeing tour on the River Queen Excursion Boat, visit to Churchill Downs, and attending the musical "The Stephen Foster Story" in Bardstown, Ky.
The local post has 1,504 members, and ranks 26th in membership in the U.S.
