Anyone planning on taking the Holiday of Lights bus tour this weekend should secure a ticket in advance to avoid being left out.
That advice comes from the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau, which is sponsoring the fourth annual event.
Buses will be in the Plaza Galleria parking lot on Friday and Saturday and will depart at 7 o'clock each evening. The one-hour tour will cost $1 per person.
There are 44 seats on each of the five buses. Thus, anyone planning on taking the tour is urged to purchase a ticket at the Convention and Visitors Bureau, 1707 N. Mount Auburn Road, or Schnucks, 19 S. Kingshighway.
Tickets may be purchased one hour before the bus departs if any seats are still available at that time.
Some of the winners of the Holiday of Lights contest, which was judged by the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee, will be on the tour.
There are some homes decorated with Christmas lights that didn't win awards in the contest but will be part of the tour. Due to the time restraint on the tour, not all of the homes that won can be included in the one-hour ride.
The Holiday of Lights bus tour also will take place Dec. 15,16 and 17, departing at the same time.
