The Velo Girardeau Bicycle Club and the Bicentennial Commission are sponsoring a bike ride Sunday. The "Tour de Cape" will depart from the Riverfront Park at Themis and Water Streets in downtown Cape Girardeau at 2 p.m. Participants will have a choice of five different "loops," each route having several historic points of interest. Length of the rides varies from 8 miles to 59 miles...

The Velo Girardeau Bicycle Club and the Bicentennial Commission are sponsoring a bike ride Sunday.

The "Tour de Cape" will depart from the Riverfront Park at Themis and Water Streets in downtown Cape Girardeau at 2 p.m.

Participants will have a choice of five different "loops," each route having several historic points of interest. Length of the rides varies from 8 miles to 59 miles.

The $10 registration fee includes a Bicentennial T-shirt, map, bike inspection, historical summary of locations on the route, and light refreshments.

Entry forms are available at Cape Bicycle or riders may register on Sunday.
