ST. LOUIS Visitors looking for a weekend getaway or a few summer family vacation ideas have a new way to find out about St. Louis by dialing toll-free 1-800-888-FUN-1.
The new number puts callers in touch with St. Louis visitor information specialists who will send them a free 70-page Visitor Guide, map, calendar of events and any other specific St. Louis attraction and hotel information they would like.
"We changed the number to 1-800-888-FUN-1 to make it easier for visitors to remember how to get in touch with us," says St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission vice president of marketing Chris Stone. "And the new number says something about St. Louis ... this is a fun place for families to visit."
With more than 80 attractions, many of which offer free admission, visitors will find plenty of fun in St. Louis.
A trip to the top of the 630-foot Gateway Arch tops the list of things to do on a family vacation along with stops at the world-famous St. Louis Zoo, the newly expanded Science Center, the Missouri Botanical Garden, Six Flags Over Mid-America and many other sites.
