SIKESTON, Mo. -- A woman was arrested after authorities say she bit the tip off another woman's little finger at a Sikeston bar.
Sikeston Department of Public Safety officers were notified by the emergency-room personnel at Missouri Delta Medical Center of a possible second-degree assault Friday night.
According to incident reports, the victim was at a business in the 500 block of North Main Street in Sikeston when an unknown woman came to her table and started fighting with her.
The victim said she was unsure why the fight happened.
She said she ended up on the ground, and her left pinky finger was bitten; the tip of her finger was gone.
Whether the fingertip could be reattached was uncertain.
The suspect's name was withheld pending formal charges.
