The AdFederation of Southeast Missouri will hold its first ADDY awards banquet on Thursday, June 1 at the Show Me Center. It will begin at 6 p.m.

The ADDY awards competition is a three-tiered national contest conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation. It is also the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.

Entries were submitted from ad agencies, TV, radio stations, newspapers, along with other businesses and individuals creating advertising in the Southeast Missouri market. Competition started at the local or club level.

ADDY awards are judged on the basis of creativity, concept and execution of concept. Entry divisions include: collateral, out-of-home media, electronic media, print media, multi-media, industry self-promotion and advertising arts. Samples of the winning print and electronic media entries will be displayed at the presentation ceremony.

Tickets for the banquet are $18 and can be purchased in advance by calling KGMO/KAPE radio at 3140-339-7000.

The Southeast ADDY Awards Competition is sponsored by the Advertising Federation of Southeast Missouri, which is comprised of advertising and media professionals.

The public is invited to attend.
