Trinity Lutheran School recently received a donation from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for $36,831. The donation is made possible through the Thrivent Giving Plus program, a fraternal program that supplements Thrivent Financial member financial gifts to Lutheran schools, colleges, seminaries, social service ministries, camps, campus ministries and independent Lutheran organizations and institutions.
Thrivent Financial has earmarked $24 million for the program, contributing $1 for every $2 that a member donates to an eligible and enrolled institution or organization.
Trinity Lutheran School broke ground Jan. 11 for a major addition/renovation project to the local school, which has been in existence since 1854. Trinity Lutheran School serves students from prekindergarten to eighth grade. Other area schools that have benefited from the program are Saxony Lutheran High School and St. Paul Lutheran School.
