Three music students from Southeast Missouri State University received top honors at the Missouri Music Teacher Association State Convention in Columbia Oct. 29-31.

Susan Ho received first place collegiate honors in piano, freshman/sophomore divison. Ho is the first recipient of the Margaret Woods Allen Piano Scholarship at Southeast. She played selections by Chopin, Beethoven, and Prokofiev.

Second place collegiate honors in piano were awarded to Yuko Fujiki, also in the freshman/sophomore level of competition. She played selections by Bach, Mozart, and Schubert.

Ho and Fujiki are students of James Siffordman, Associate Professor at Southeast Missouri State University.

A first place collegiate honor for trumpet was awarded to Keith Bales, a Southeast music student of Marc Fulgham.
