Three Southeast Missouri State University students have been nominated as Harry S. Truman Scholars for 1992 and are entered as candidates in the national Truman Scholarship competition.

The students are Kelly Kenser and Michele Moon, both of Cape Girardeau, and Tricia Sparn of Collinsville, Ill.

Each year, colleges and universities from across the nation nominate outstanding third-year students who are seeking careers in public service. At least one student from each state will receive a scholarship which provides $30,000 for tuition, fees, books and expenses for their senior year and two years of graduate study.

Scholarship recipients will be recognized at a ceremony in May at the Truman Library in Independence, Mo.
