NEW WELLS, Mo. -- Three Southeast Missouri residents were seriously injured in a Tuesday morning accident in Cape Girardeau County.
Two of the injured were flown by helicopters to Cape Girardeau hospitals, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
The accident happened at 8:15 a.m. on Route C a mile south of New Wells. Cape Girardeau firefighters were called to the accident scene for an extrication.
Tony Taylor, 35, of Jackson, Mo., and Flora Kassel, 65, of Frohna, Mo., were taken to St. Francis Medical Center for treatment.
Eugene Kassel, 72, of Frohna, also was injured in the accident. He was taken to St. Francis by ambulance.
The accident happened when a vehicle driven by Taylor crossed the center line and hit the vehicle driven by Eugene Kassel.
