Three people injured in minivan crash

Three people, including a 5-year-old girl, were injured Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Route OO in Cape Girardeau County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Ashley Gonzales, 5; Eric J. Wolfgang, 65; and Hana A. Wolfgang, 13, all of Patterson, Mo., were taken by ambulance to Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau after the northbound 2000 Dodge Caravan in which they were riding ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, the patrol reported.

Gonzales had moderate injuries, while Eric and Hana Wolfgang had minor injuries, the patrol reported.

The accident occurred about 3:30 p.m. Monday on Route OO five miles south of Jackson, the patrol reported.

The driver, Patricia E. Wolfgang, 63, of Patterson, was not hurt in the accident, which caused extensive damage to the minivan, the patrol reported.
