Three men connected with an Oct. 3 shooting incident in Southern Illinois were arrested in Cape Girardeau on weapons charges Saturday.

Marlon T. Williams, 40, of Springfield, Missouri; Cedric J. Lucious, 26, of Cape Girardeau; and Ronnie A. Lucious, 38, of St. Louis each were charged with a single count of unlawful possession of a weapon.

Probable-cause statements indicate the vehicle in which the men were traveling matched the description of a suspect vehicle involved in a shooting in the 500 block of South Sprigg Street. Officer James Goins said in the statement he observed Ronnie Lucious holding a partial box of pistol ammunition, containing some live rounds. Additional officers arrived on scene and after receiving consent from Ricky Lucious, the driver, searched the vehicle and recovered three firearms and several spent shell casings consistent with the caliber of the recovered firearms.

The men were taken into custody and brought to the police department to be interviewed.

Ricky Lucious said all the men in the vehicle were involved in a shooting earlier that night at The Pony strip club in East Cape Girardeau, according to the probable-cause statement. They were all in the vehicle attempting to leave when "unknown subjects" standing outside of the night club began shooting at their vehicle, he told officers.

He also said occupants inside the vehicle began shooting back, though the others denied any involvement in the shooting when interviewed. Cedric Lucious told officers he remembered "being at The Pony and being shot at," but said no one was shooting from inside their vehicle, according to the probable-cause statement.

Cedric Lucious, Ronnie Lucious and Williams are all being held in Cape Girardeau County on $10,000 cash-only bond and have preliminary hearings scheduled later this month.
