Three local delegates were among high school juniors participating in Missouri's 30th annual Rural Electric Youth Tour to Washington D.C. June 13-18.
Attending were Kathy Jenkins and Joe Robinson, both of Advance, and Julie Schwartz of Scott City. They were sponsored by Scott-New Madrid-Mississippi Electric Cooperative.
The six-day tour allowed participants to visit representative from their congressional districts, tour the U.S. Capitol, Supreme Court, Smithsonian Museums and Arlington National Cemetery.
