THREE INJURED IN TWO-CAR ACCIDENT IN PERRY COUNTY

PERRYVILLE -- Three people were injured Sunday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 51 in Perry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said David Ruessler, 47, of Perryville suffered minor injuries when a passenger car driven by Kenneth Schimgen, 75, of Perryville failed to yield to Ruessler's vehicle while making a left turn across Highway 51.

Schimgen and a passenger in his vehicle, Bernice Schimgen, 69, of Perryville both suffered moderate injuries.

Ruessler's vehicle was northbound and the Schimgen vehicle southbound.

The accident occurred at 8:50 a.m., approximately six miles south of Interstate 55.
