An accident at 2:55 p.m. on Sunday injured Gregory Chenoweth, 24, of Cape Girardeau. He suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center, the patrol said.

Chenoweth was westbound on a Honda motorcycle on Route Y, four miles north of Cape Girardeau, when the motorcycle crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Lucian Zielinski, 39, of Cape Girardeau. Following the collision, the motorcycle ran off the roadway, the patrol said.

The third accident, at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, injured Michelle Swindle, 19, of St. Charles, Mo.

The accident occurred on Highway 51 in Perry County, just north of County Road 604. The patrol said Swindle suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, Mo.

According to the patrol, Swindle oversteered when the right wheels of the pickup truck she was driving dropped off the edge of the pavement. The vehicle skidded off the roadway and overturned, the patrol said.
