Three people were injured in traffic accidents Friday and Saturday in Cape Girardeau and Scott counties, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Lori Garland, 33, of Chaffee, Mo., was injured in an accident at 9:30 a.m. Saturday on Route W at Fruitland. She was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girar-deau.

She was a passenger in a southbound vehicle driven by Albert Garner, 35, of Cape Girardeau. The accident occurred as Garner attempted to make a turn and pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by Leon Sagers, 47, of Jackson, the patrol said.

Garner was issued a citation for failure to yield, the patrol said.

Alan Hensley, 18, of Fenton, Mo., was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 5:15 p.m. Saturday in Scott County.

The patrol said Hensley was riding an all-terrain vehicle on Sundown Lane, two miles northeast of Benton, Mo., when the accident occurred.

According to the patrol, the ATV ran off the road, struck a mailbox and overturned. Hensley was ejected. He suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center, the patrol said.

An accident at 3:45 p.m. Friday injured Frank Tillman, 61, of Chaffee, the patrol said.

The accident occurred on County Road 205, a half-mile south of the Cape Girardeau city limits, when Tillman's vehicle slowed in traffic on wet pavement, the patrol said.

According to the patrol, Tillman lost control and the vehicle struck a ditch.

Tillman suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center, the patrol said.
