Three in custody after meth-related fire in Advance

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Three individuals are behind bars following a Thursday house fire in Advance believed to have been caused by an exploding methamphetamine lab.

According to Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner, at 11:15 p.m. Thursday the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department received a call in reference to a structure fire on Highway 25 north of Advance, Mo.

Advance Fire Department responded to the fire, along with sheriff's deputies. The residence was occupied by three individuals, one man and two women.

The home sustained extensive damage from smoke and moderate damage from fire. At this time it is believed the fire was started as the result of a methamphetamine lab.

One shake-and-bake meth lab container that had been burned thoroughly was located just outside the home. A second shake-and-bake lab container was located by an outbuilding near the home.

John Dockery, Jr., 47 of Advance, is charged with the Class B felony of attempt to manufacture methamphetamine. His bond was set at $150,000 cash only.

Darlla J. Jines, 38 of Morley, Mo., is charged with the Class B felony of attempt to manufacture methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $50,000 cash only.

Kimberly Taylor, 50 of Commerce Colo., is charged with the Class C felony of attempt to manufacture methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $50,000 cash only.

All three subjects remain at the Stoddard County Jail and will appear for arraignment Thursday before Judge Joe Z. Satterfield.
