Three people were injured in two separate accidents in Cape Girardeau County on Friday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Jerran Pasborg, 60, of Cape Girardeau was taken by ambulance to Southeast Missouri Hospital after being injured in a one-vehicle accident at 1:30 p.m. on Cape Girardeau County Road 635.
The accident occured three miles north of Cape Girardeau when Pasborg failed to negotiate a curve, the patrol said. The car skidded off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment.
An accident at 2:15 p.m. on Cape Girardeau County Road 618, four miles east of Jackson, injured two Jackson residents.
Andrew Lane, 17, and Billy Heisserer, 63, were taken by ambulance to Southeast Missouri Hospital.
The accident occurred when Lane lost control of his eastbound car, the patrol said. The vehicle slid across the roadway and struck head-on a westbound pickup truck driven by Heisserer.
