JEFFERSON CITY -- Three area residents will serve on Missouri boards, following their appointments by Gov. Jay Nixon.

Drew Juden of Sikeston was named to the Homeland Security Advisory Council. The council is tasked with ensuring that proper homeland security plans and coordination are in place at the state and local level and that homeland security grant expenditures are done in a coordinated and efficient way.

Juden has held the position of director of Public Safety for the City of Sikeston since April 2004 and has been with the department since 1978. He holds several certifications in the areas of fire, law enforcement and emergency response. He has been appointed for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor.

The governor has appointed C. Cash Gill of Dexter, to the Missouri Real Estate Appraisers Commission. The Missouri Real Estate Appraisers' Commission licenses and regulates persons who engage in real estate appraisal business as set out in statute.

Gill is a state-certified general real estate appraiser who holds appraiser licenses from more than 20 states. He has worked for conventional lenders, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Department of Agriculture/Rural Development, and other lenders. The governor has appointed him for a term ending Sept. 12, 2013.

Brandy Mouser of Dexter was appointed to a term ending June 17, 2013, on the Board of Therapeutic Massage.

The Missouri Board of Therapeutic Massage is responsible for protecting the public from unlicensed, negligent, incompetent, and dishonest services relating to massage therapy and massage therapy businesses. The board enforces licensure standards through the implementation of legislation and administrative regulations.

Mouser is the owner of Salon 10 LLC, in Dexter, and has 17 years of experience in the field of massage therapy field.
