Three people were dead and one seriously injured after a one-car vehicle accident Friday morning in Perry County. Driver Alycia N. Dickey, 20, of Marissa Ill.; passenger Cody A. Lailer, 21, of Chester, Ill.; and passenger Joshua S. Smith, 20, of Marissa died as a result of an accident that happened about 4:25 a.m. on Highway 51, just south of Route H. A fourth passenger, Timothy S. Hobeck, 28, of Chester was seriously injured and taken by helicopter to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Dickey was driving a 2007 Ford Mustang northbound on Highway 51 at high speed when she attempted to avoid an animal in the road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. The vehicle overturned and all four occupants were ejected. None of them was wearing a seat belt. Dickey, Lailer and Smith were taken by the Perry County Coroner to Miller Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo.
