Fire crews from three districts responded to a parsonage fire at St. John's United Church of Christ in Fruitland at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Gene Kerns with the Fruitland Area Fire Protection District said the church did not catch fire and the parsonage was not a total loss. Crews were able to get the fire under control in about 20 minutes, he said. Kerns said the fire was contained to the basement.
The cause of the blaze is still undetermined but does not appear to be suspicious.
Crews from the North County Fire District and the East County Fire District also responded to the fire. No injuries were reported.
