The driver of a Corvette who was extricated from his car after rear-ending a tractor-trailer was issued three citations after the crash. Cape Girardeau Police Department spokesman Darin Hickey on Friday said Timothy Halter, 63, of Oran, Mo., was cited for careless and imprudent driving, a lane violation and following too close. Halter was taken to a hospital with serious injuries Monday after crashing into the back of the semi-truck at South Kingshighway and Southern Expressway while the truck was stopping at a traffic signal.
