A single mother with three children, including an infant, needs help from Toybox to make her children's wishes come true. Austin, 6, likes to play games of all sorts. He'd like a Yu-Gi-Oh game and accessories and electronic games for Christmas. Jason, 2, likes SpongeBob SquarePants and Rescue Heroes toys.

Suitable gifts for the infant girl, Kala, are anything that lights up or plays music. Her mother says she also likes Care Bears.

Toybox will deliver the donated toys to needy families in Cape Girardeau on Dec. 16.

Christmas for the Elderly

Miss F lives with her elderly father now that her mother has passed away. The family lives in an older home and survives on disability and Social Security assistance only. Miss F has several health problems including Parkinson's disease.

She wants new clothes for Christmas. Petite pants in size 16 and medium blouses would make ideal gifts, as would a new bra in size 36B. She wants a new white scarf and an apron.

She also would like a white scarf to use as a table cover. She needs new blankets and sheets for a twin bed, but not flannel sheets.

Some gospel music on cassette tapes to listen to during the day and pharmacy gift cards also would be ideal gifts for Miss F.

Donations can be made to the Southeast Missourian offices. Monetary gifts, which are tax-deductible, can be mailed to P.O. Box 4, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63702-0004.
