The New Madrid County Prosecuting Attorney’s office on Wednesday charged three people with murder and other felony counts in connection with the killing of a Kansas motorcyclist in Sikeston, Missouri.

Ronnie Carl Robinson, 49, of Little Rock, Arkansas, Larenzle M. Coleman, 35, of Oakfield, Tennessee, and Elsie M. Coleman Hamilton, 40, of Little Rock, were charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, kidnapping and first-degree tampering.

Their bond is set at $250.000, cash only.

An autopsy showed Weaver suffered severe head trauma and fractured ribs — injuries consistent with severe beating, according to Sikeston police. It was this information that led to law enforcement and prosecutors to determine Weaver’s death would be classified as a homicide, and murder charges would be pursued, according to a news release from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.

Weaver was visiting Sikeston from Pittsburg, Kansas, at 8 p.m. June 26, according to the release. On June 27, a cleaning crew at the Days Inn noticed his room door was left ajar, but authorities had not been notified, according to the release.

Sikeston officers went to Weaver’s room the next day at the urging of Pittsburg police and found he was gone and his motorcycle was missing, according to the release.

Sikeston officers were given a surveillance video that showed a dark-colored Chevrolet Avalanche pulling a single-axle trailer early June 27 in the Days Inn parking lot and leaving at a high rate of speed 14 minutes later.

Witnesses told police Coleman was trying to sell a motorcycle, according to the release. Officers found the Avalanche in Charleston, Missouri, and saw blood on or inside the vehicle and obtained a search warrant for it, according to the release.

A witness identified the Avalanche as the vehicle was used to haul the motorcycle to Howardville, Missouri, according to the release. The truck was registered to Hamilton.

Officers found Weaver’s body Saturday in a cotton field southwest of Sikeston. Dr. Russell Deidiker performed an autopsy Tuesday and determined Weaver’s death was a homicide, according to the release.
