Power finally restored after ice storm

Electric cooperatives in Missouri are reporting that, except for patchy outages here and there, all of their customers are back up and running a little over three weeks after the late January ice storm coated the area.At the height of the outages, over 100,000 customers were without power.

Blunt to talk Senate in Cape Girardeau

U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt is touring the state today to announce his plans to run for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Kit Bond. One of Blunt's stops is in Cape Girardeau, where he was to speak at the Common Pleas Courthouse Gazebo at 2:30 p.m. We'll have a story with photos later this afternoon on seMissourian.com, with video to come later tonight.
