The snow and ice that fell earlier this afternoon has caused traffic trouble along some of the city's main traffic arteries — William, Broadway, Kingshighway and others.

A Cape Girardeau man didn't like his neighbors' dog because it kept barking, so he decided to poison it, according to Cape Girardeau police. The man has been charged with a misdemeanor of animal abuse after allegedly feeding the German Shepherd ribs coated in antifreeze.
