The Jackson credit card scam

Yesterday we reported that a Jackson businessman was arrested for allegedly buying expensive items using other people's credit card numbers. On the heels of the story going public, the Cape Girardeau Sheriff's Department says it's been inundated with calls from people saying they might have been ripped off, too.

Hurricane Ike assistance for Scott County

Remember back in September when the remnants of Hurricane Ike slammed Southeast Missouri with damaging winds, knocking down trees and power lines?

Now FEMA has freed up money for local governments in Scott County who had to deal with cleanup costs from the damaging storm.
