This postcard picture was mailed to my father, John Daume, who was still living with his parents, William and Dorothea Suedekum Daume, at the family home in Tilsit, Mo. The address was Route 2, Jackson, and was probably mailed about 1908.

Mr. Daume attended Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Illinois that year. The message on this card wishes him good-bye with hopes to hear from him soon.

Mr. Daume boarded the train at the Iron Mountain Depot at Gordonville for his trip to Elmhurst.
