MONTGOMERY CITY, Mo. -- A central Missouri teenager is under arrest, suspected of kidnapping his 15-year-old ex-girlfriend, forcing her into his vehicle at gunpoint after she exited a school bus.
The incident also caused a brief lockdown Wednesday at schools in Montgomery County.
Montgomery City police said the girl told investigators she rode the bus home Tuesday and was confronted by her 18-year-old ex-boyfriend. She said he ordered her at gunpoint into his vehicle and drove her around throughout the evening.
Police said the older teen took the girl home unharmed late Wednesday morning but made threatening comments that prompted an hourlong lockdown at the schools. The 18-year-old was arrested Wednesday.
