A teenager sought in the Cape Girardeau shooting of a 23-year-old man turned himself over to authorities Monday. George A. Henry, 18, turned himself in with his attorney at the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Office, according to Cape Girardeau police spokesman Jason Selzer. Henry was charged Feb. 17 with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action in the Feb. 14 shooting near Benton Street and Jefferson Avenue. Following the shooting, the 23-year-old victim was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound to the lower back. An update on the victim's condition was not immediately available Monday night.
