WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (AP) -- Authorities in Southern Illinois are still investigating the shooting at a West Frankfort home that left a 14-year-old girl dead.
West Frankfort Police officials say Elizabeth Obrecht died after suffering a single gunshot wound to the chest. She was pronounced dead Tuesday night at Franklin Hospital in Benton.
Police say a teenage suspect was in custody Wednesday. No charges have been filed.
Authorities aren't yet releasing details about the shooting.
