Heather Birk of Jackson was recognized at the State 4-H Congress in Columbia, Mo. recently for receiving the 4-H Key Award.
The 4-H Key Award, presented to members that have shown growth and strong involvement throughout their participation in 4-H, is the highest award that members can receive. Birk was a member of the Tilsit 4-H Club in Cape Girardeau County for 11 years.
Birk was also chosen to be one of 30 Missouri delegates to attend the National 4-H Congress in November in Atlanta.
She is the daughter of Ralph and Diane Birk; sister of Eric Birk; granddaughter of Glen and Alice Birk, all of Jackson, and granddaughter of Marvin and Gladys Aufdenberg of Burfordville.
