Birk was also chosen to be one of 30 Missouri delegates to attend the National 4-H Congress in November in Atlanta.

She is the daughter of Ralph and Diane Birk; sister of Eric Birk; granddaughter of Glen and Alice Birk, all of Jackson, and granddaughter of Marvin and Gladys Aufdenberg of Burfordville.
