Teen injured in car wreck
A Gideon, Missouri, teenager was seriously injured Thursday afternoon when the vehicle she was driving pulled into the path of another. Traveling south toward Highway J two miles west of Malden, Missouri, a 1995 Buick driven by Sydney Hooten, 18, pulled into the path of a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Jane McLeod of Malden, causing the Tahoe to strike the Buick on the driver's side. A Gideon, Missouri, teenager was seriously injured Thursday afternoon when the vehicle she was driving pulled into the path of another.
Traveling south toward Highway J two miles west of Malden, Missouri, a 1995 Buick driven by Sydney Hooten, 18, pulled into the path of a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Jane McLeod of Malden, causing the Tahoe to strike the Buick on the driver's side. No passengers were in either vehicle.

Both drivers were taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Each of the vehicles sustained extensive damage.
