MARBLE HILL - An 18-year-old Bollinger County resident was injured early Saturday morning when the car he was driving overturned on Bollinger County Route B, five miles north of Marble Hill.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Michael Stevens of Marble Hill was northbound when his car ran off the highway and into a ditch, where it struck an embankment and overturned.

The patrol said Stevens was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau with moderate injuries.

Authorities said Stevens was wearing his seat belt.

The accident occurred at 12:30 a.m.
