TEEN DIES IN TRUCK ACCIDENT

A spokesman for the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Matthew McClellan, 16, lost control of his truck on Highway J seven miles east of Fredericktown about 10:30 a.m. The patrol said he struck an embankment and a tree and overturned, throwing him from the vehicle.

McClellan was flown to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau and where he was pronounced dead.
The patrol said he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
