ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis public school officials are investigating after security guards sprayed tear gas to break up a fight at Sumner High School.
The incident happened around noon Tuesday. Media reports say at least seven students were treated for the exposure to the tear gas. Details of their injuries were not available.
The security guards were breaking up a fight involving a group of boys in the cafeteria, but some of the tear gas apparently affected other students who were nearby and not involved in the fight.
