TEACHER PUBLISHES ARTICLE

Mary Collier Mims, a vocal music director at Cape Girardeau Central Junior High School, recently wrote an article for a publication of the Music Educators National Conference.

The article, titled "Setting a Healthy Example for Your Singers," was published in the March issue of "Teaching Music" magazine.

Mims, who has been teaching for 14 years, also has written articles on classroom management, student assessment and opera performance in an elementary school.

Mims also has taught in the music department of Southeast Missouri State University and Troy State University in Troy, Ala.
